Well, we've had a front page mention On Friday (I think it was) the h2g2Chess Programme was listed in a Peck of Peta's Picks. We've got a few moer players now as well, and I can see it growing, at least I hope s
The IE5 refresh bug is still looming I'm afraid. All I can suggest is that when you've confirmed your move, just believe that it has actually done it. Either that or use Nutscrape when playing, I have no idea why, but it works better on this one.
I'm currently working on an undo button as I've noticed that at the moment there is no way of undoing an illegal move, which there should be really. It shouldn't be hard to put in, it's just getting my butt in gear and doing it
I have been asked about having a sort of knock-out competition, and I think this is a great idea, although I do think that we need to iron out these last few bugs like putting in an undo feature first.
Another feature that I keep meaning to look at is a way of notifying players on their homepage when it's their turn to move. I will get around to it
Pastey

I agree that a competition is a great idea, as it gives the whole thing more purpose, but why not make it a league rather than a straight knock-out, as this is a way of keeping the less accomplished performers (such as myself!) involved for a bit longer. You could have two or four small leagues, say, with four people in each (or whatever - depending on how many players are available), and then after that perhaps the winners could go on to play the runners-up in a knockout. (In effect, this structure would be a bit like the European football Champion's League, if you're familiar with this)...
Perhaps this would be too difficult to arrange, though...

Abject apologies over the multiple copies of the above message. I'm not messing around - it's just that every time I tried to send it I got a 'Server Application Error' message, and consequently kept trying and retrying to send it, under the (obviously mistaken) assumption that it wasn't getting through.
Ever felt like a complete fool? I certainly do at the moment...
