Hi Peregrin
It's not going too bad actually, but I've sort of got my programming mind set on this little venture at the moment A fully working online chess game site.
The idea is to use the forum structure of h2g2 to replicate postal chess, but to do it graphically
Most of the coding is already in place on my hard drive, but I've now got to tweak it to h2g2 Should take around about three or four days before it's all up and running smoothly, I hope.

There is a page of the Chess Player homepage that hosts a copy of how far I've got doing this. I'm just about to update it so that it displays who's turn it is, then I'll work on the user passwords

This is a purely h2g2 thing, even though half the scripts are held off site But that's only for convienience of updating and all that.
I'm working on instructions at the moment.

Hi Steve
As I said "I'll be emailing you soon" about the new venture. I am just settling down to the new computer and still have to retrive some info off the old one to be fully up and running. I will send you a password at the same time - I have to et icq back up and running
Still I like the chess thing and hope to play as soon as it is available.
