h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

As I'm sure you already know, the Perseids meteor shower reaches peak activity on the nights of Aug. 11/12 and Aug. 12/13. So beeline and I are recruiting Researchers from across the northern hemisphere to take part in a scientific survey by counting meteors on those two nights.

There is also a sign-up forum at the bottom of the main page. We need all the help we can get to really make this project fly! Maybe you could mention it to your angels and saints?

I figured you could appreciate a group of us standing under the vault of heaven marvelling at your free light show and counting the individual flashes to gain a better understanding of your universe.
