I often go to your page and click just to see the stars
And thank you so much for stopping by. Nice to see some new "old" denizens in this little bit of the Guide.

I swear those stars are addictive; I can spend ages clicking my page...
Its always nice to visit others; while I'm here I can ask something I've meant to ask for ages... how do you pronounce your name?? And where did you get it?

Zmrzlina is pronounced just as it is spelled (the "i" is a long "e"), but you have to roll the "r" which usually results in a sprained tongue when I try to do it I got the name from the second Slovak student we hosted. When Dany was living with us in 1996 my husband worked for a big ice cream company, so Dany thought Zmrzlina (means ice cream) would be a great online name for me. I added 13 to it for most of my email addresses because he was our 13th student

Icecream wow, thats a marvelous nickname!
I don't think I'll be trying to say it out loud very frequently, though

hi again
Saw this and thought of you: I went to Prague recently, and although most of the shops have 'icecream' signs, I was walking down one side street and there was your name... was I ever surprised!

lol I bet you do!
I didn't write an awful lot about it, although I may do... but if you're interested my photos of the occasion are on my website: http://www.joanna-d.co.uk/pictures/prague.html Unfortunately I didn't take one of the Zmrzlina sign...

WOW! Such memories some of those photos bring back. And I wanted to be at the protest, but there is no way I could afford the trip It makes me very happy to see so many people out to show the realists of this world that there is more to life than the "lust for power." Though...I do wish more protesters could articulate their opinions a bit clearer. And I wish the word "anarchy" was better understood by those who use it to mean resisting authority. :::sigh::::
Have to get back to my schoolwork, but I will be in touch
Key: Complain about this post
