Yes, and my name is Nancy, I am very fond of trickster myths.

I see. My mother collects fairytales from all over the world. There's usually a trickster figure everywhere
I like the name - well chosen, works on several levels!

You might enjoy reading "Repent Harlequn!" said the Ticktockman by Harlan Ellison - a classic modern trickster story.

Sounds interesting. I'll look it up, thanks!

That must be quite amazing!
Not too much light pollution here either - my mother lives in a rather small village, and I'm visiting at the moment.
They turn the streetlights off at ten - but they come back on at four, for milking

I don't have street lights and no cows to milk but I'm thinking of getting a horse and a donkey, I have the space and pasture(65 acres)and a neighbour who will help me locate the said beasts.

We had both a horse and a donkey when I was a kid, though we only had ten acres - we weren't growing any crops, but did raise sheep and chickens
If you have the room, go for it!
(and happy April Fool's, just made for a trickster )

they're often more fun
Our Matilda... Well, you know the trick you use with horses where if they don't go, you turn their head to the side so they'll have to take a step or fall over? Matilda preferred to fall over

Yes Yes they will, the trick my old riding instructor told me, was to think of them as having the temprament/mentality of a four year old human. As a mom I understood and life was much easier on horse back! I am an alpha (though benninely(sp) so)Sorry only have dial-up and no spell check.

That's a good way of putting it.
Actually, it's my 's birthday today - or would be. I doubt she's still alive, she'd be 38!
No problem for the spelling
I was off cooking dinner for myself anyway - a bit late, it's 10.00 pm now.

Thanks.
But I like to cook, too, and I'm a bit difficult. Vegetarian
Today's dinner is carrot sticks and hummus, baby potatoes fried whole with marjoram, thyme, and rosemary, and a fried egg

I cook vegan as well, last job was chef for a spa; organic and vegan very much fun I got to play. I Have recipies I developed that are vegan and taste like meat eaters, Quinou Loaf with fresh tomato sauce too curl ones toes for (one Italian guest said my sauce was better than her Mom's)Hummus a friend showed me how to make it, I've tweaked his recipe most happy humans. Did I mention I love to cook and play with foods?
PS remind me to save recipes I give away my daughter wants a cook book and I'm procrastinating on writing it for her.
