gave up looking for courses smiley - sadface I really have no clue what I'm supposed to do. Positivity isn't coming from anywhere.

where is the collaborative entry stuff? I thought of adding it to my space so when I want something to do I can look at the threads to creating these and create one which needs creating.

See if your local council is in this lot:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?as_q=evening+classes&num=10&hs=J6C&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=gov.uk&as_rights=&safe=images

smiley - hugOpti you need to find the positivity in yourself and give yourself something to focus on. Even if their is no classes their is nothing but your own motivation stopping you getting a book or video on a tai chi or yoga. Seriously you need a focus at the moment

Don't know about the collaborative stuff...lets see...

Thanks for the local council link I did have a look a while back at courses in my area but I'm heavily restricted regards a social life for buses only run 7-7!!! I really want to move to a town but perhaps I ought to get this driving out the way first. I can't believe I've been learning since the end of last year till now!!! whats wrong with me?

Goodsmiley - smiley Or you could try making a chancesmiley - winkeye

Everyone learns at their own speed. Have you sorted the theory test? Possibly being 50% there will be motivating. I can recommend the BSM CD rom trainingsmiley - smiley

Oh goodsmiley - smiley

Worth a thinking about

smiley - smiley So you are 50% there. You just need to get all the control things down as well as building up your own belief in being able to do it. Possibly even saying well done in your head each time you do something right. I bet you get more well dones than you expect. Also don't be too hard on yourself if you make a little slip, some people still do after passing their test, just rarely. It is just a case of trying your best not to make slips.

what sort of chances are open to me do you think?

My competitive streak wants me to pass as quickly as my sister and bf did. I have little hiccups in my driving mostly manouevres. Plus I am not chilled out with it.

It depends what you want to do. To be honest what I was suggesting was you think of active creative ways to get into the industry you want to. Researcher your industry, find out about companies big and small and send speculative letters of why you would be good for them tailored to what you find out about there activities, that sort of thingsmiley - smiley

Its not a competition, it is a skill you get in your own time, oksmiley - smileysmiley - cake Besides, the competition is not how quick, but how compitent you are when you start to drive after the test and I'm sure you will win that smiley - smiley

so perhaps writing a review on the play i'm in would be great for breaking into the newspaper/magazine industry smiley - winkeye

ooh i don't know i woke up in a panic about that one

A playsmiley - wow Thats definately making oportunities smiley - smiley Though I think they may worry about the bias of one of the cast in the reviewing stakessmiley - winkeye

How is it going now? Are you feeling any more confident? Talking to my mum the other day I am reminded of my yo-yo development in driving. Some days I had good lessons, others not so good, mainly because I had a go at myself for mistakes. But I got there in the end and passed first timesmiley - smiley Just thought I would mention thatsmiley - smiley

It's a slow progress in all parts of my life at the moment and thus I have at times been feeling suicidal. The trick is (I've probably said this before) not to analyse the situation too deeply but get on and try and change things. If nothing works perhaps I'll venture north.

smiley - hugIts never easy, but their is never anything that is so bad that living doesn't offer more options, and you are such a great person I hope you always remember that.

Thankyou for your reassurance that I am a great person.

The people in Peer Review dislike me immensely.

You are a great personsmiley - smiley

I'm sure they don't. You just get a lot of tetchy pedants floating around peer review thats all. A bit like critics, some of them all they can do is pick faults without adding anything.

No problemsmiley - smiley

May be true, don't know. A shame if it is. Though it will show that your work is even more worthwhile when it gets past any favoritism, though you also have to be modest enough to check over your work and be certain its up to the best it can be.
