So I shall have to decline your kind offer of transportation to said event and enjoy what the local hoteleries have to offer instead. If you go, perhaps at a later date another few pints at the local may be worthwhile to 'debrief'...

I doubt I'll be going either. My 'old trouble' is flaring up at the moment (I'm not going to have an op unless I lose weight first) so a course of metronidazole might be the best remedy. And as we know, metronidazole and booze do not mix...

I may be speaking out of turn, but I'm quite happy to go somewhere more locally. You see, I don't drive (due to a number of reasons) and I don't really like to be too far away from my family for any length of time, even if it is just 'a few minutes down the road'. If FM would like a miniscule meet at a local I could probably manage that.

It's the friggin' mixture of the drugs. Nausea, vomiting, headaches, liver and renal failure...I can't think of worse kind of torture than having to be teetotal at a beer festival.
