Thanks for the nice words. It had to be said sometime. Regarding eloquence, I'm very much like a lot of other people in that I go around in with a mishmash of thoughts about an issue, and it takes a particular event to cause them to crystallise out into something meaningful and coherent. This was one of those occasions, and I thought my particular perspective on the issue of republicanism was one I wanted to share with others.
