Not any more, it went back.
He left h2g2 today, probably why everyone on my ICQ list is offline cos they're all getting thorougly drunk......
Jeni is in Scotland at the moment so unless she can get her WAP phone working she wont be posting here for some time. I got a text message from her though and it said "Arrgh - I just somersaulted down a mountain in a go kart - it hurts! Sitting in bar garden by river ATM I'll show u pix soon!"
Let's try this again!
Miss Jeni Posted Aug 27, 2000
yeah.. it did bloody well hurt, now you know why they're called "devil" karts!
Let's try this again!

LOL! Are these petrol-carts? We've got these alpine slide thingies around here that are concrete troughs down the side of a ski slope and you go hurtling down them in small carts and devil-may-care speeds. I've lost a lot of skin on those!

ok.. do not take the p**s if i tell you this..
these karts are not petrol, they're just go-karts, the only 2 things you gotta operate are steering and brakes.
BUT before you call me a wuss, it was a VERY steep wet and slippery, skiddy mountain. The place called Lecht is something like 2000 feet high, beat that.
So, i didn't wanna go on these "devil" karts, but i was forced into it, it's raining and you're trying to go down a mountain on wet mud and over huge bumpy rocks.
i start off and don't know how to operate the brakes, so i end up without brakes cuz i wasn't listening when the cute guy was telling me how to work them. i go down the mountain, far too fast and when the sign says slow, i'm like "crap" I'm in trouble, so i carry on (by the way the rocks were so big i actually left the ground on more than one occasion)and i panick (cuz i dunno what to do) and crash into the metal fence next to the track, i come over the top of it and land under the "devil" kart.
And I also had the guts to have another go after to prove that i could do them, although i was going sooo slow i actually stopped 3 times in the middle of my way down cuz i was too scared to go down any faster although i did do it
oh, and i did have a go at quad bikes too, they're petrol bikes with 4 wheels, a bit like tractors, i loved those, although i was still a bit paranoid i was going too fast, so i stayed quite slow.
but i guess, overall the experience was worth it, i've learnt to listen from now on

Unlike you to NOT listen to what a cute guy was saying, unless you were too busy just staring at him and dreaming
Let's try this again!
Miss Jeni Posted Aug 30, 2000
was he fine?!?!?!?! YES!!!!
All the guys there were wearing mechanic outfits and they had all served a few years at cute school
Probably why i didn't listen, imagine if i had have broken something, he'd have come running to save me, lol, then again he did have an accent.
Let's try this again!
