Hi,
I am doing A'Levels right now but am looking round all the Uni's. My whole school went to Warwick and I liked the look of it but How much of a drag is it to have the Maths Dept. away from the rest of the Campus 'cos I will be taking a Maths or Computing with Maths Degree?
Any Comments about Maths or general Life at Warwick would be greatly appreciated

It's not to much trouble having the Maths dept. a bit away from main campus - it may seem like a long walk, but it's nothing compared to a lot of places. It just gets a bit wearing during the bad weather so make sure you bring an umbrella
The Maths course here is pretty good. It's hard work, and it keeps you thinking for a lot of the time. Also, you get a lot of choice in which modules you take. So you can make a degree course that you like (or at least one that you like more than other courses... ). If you want to do a bit more research, try looking here: http://www.maths.warwick.ac.uk/index.html
Warwick is a brill Uni (no, I don't mean it's like a fish!) - great Union, some really good events, everything you could possibly need (well, ALMOST everything), and great people. If you're applying for halls of residence, go for Rootes Residences - they're the best place to be.

Most of the course material isn't too difficult - it's just either deadly, difficult to actually remember everything, or both. And sometimes it's a little tricky to actually apply what you've been taught. But the system of tutorials and supervisions works well to help you learn bits you're not too sure about.
