Ok, I'll take a look as soon as I've finished writing this
Can't remember seeing an email from you recently though... I'll check the Y**oo group in a while. They've probably messed up again...
Yay! Go for it hon! I'm sure you'd be a valuable asset to the Artists team

I know that yahoo got it, I just dont think anyone else did
I'm not sure, I've been reading through the blurb and it's all a bit daunting, I don't really understand it all.

Yeah, I think I remember seeing it now. The problem with asking 'general' questions, to no-one in particular, is that often everyone assumes that someone else will answer...
I'm sure, even if you aren't. Which bits don't make sense to you?

I know, but they answer other peoples, I just assumed someone would answer mine.
Just the coding bits, I know about pixels and sizing but I don't get what it's on about when it comes to background colours and Hex numbers and anti-aliased and things, I'm not good with instructions, I'm better if I can just work it out and get on with it

Mmmm... they usually do... Hopefully it's sorted now though
Ah, hex numbers! Quick tutorial... hex numbers should have six digits (for web colours) - each digit can be 0-9 or A, B, C, D, E or F. The full name for the would be hexadecimal - counting in base 16 (rather than the base 10 we're used to).
To work out what each hex number means, split it into three lots of two digits. So FF66CC would give you FF, 66 and CC. These pairs of digits give you the values for the Red, Green and Blue components of the colour - in that order. So in the example it would be R:FF G:66 B:CC.
If you use thw windows calculator, you can convert the hex values into something useful - their decimal equivalents. In the view menu, click on 'Scientific' - this allows you to do the necessary conversions.
Make sure you're in Hex mode (click the little button to the left of 'Hex'), and put in the first number (FF in our example). The click 'Dec' to convert it. The decimal values for our example should be R:255 G:102 B:204. You should then be able to use these values in whatever graphics program you use...
The anti-aliasing... as far as I know, it's basically about making sure that the outermost pixels of the finished image blend with the background colour on here. It's most noticable with circles if it doesn't work properly. For instance, if you export a circle (on a white background) from your graphics program, it may fill in a few pixels round the edges in a white colour - which wouldn't look good in Goo.
Don't know if that'll make things any clearer or not...

I'd be such a spoon at being a Community artist from the sounds of it.

I'm sure you wouldn't. I'm probably making it all sound much harder than it really is.

God I was obsessed with Sesame Street when I was little
and I love the muppets the day we moved house, well must have been the week we moved, mum had packed everything away apart from the telly, a matress and some bedding, we all slept in the same bed (dad was living in a caravan here so he could start up the business and then we'd come down when things were ready) and mum made fish and chips or something while we sat watching the muppets

Methinks you're a little confuzzled... I think you're thinking of Playbus - which sort of replaced Playschool.
Playschool had all the toys as characters - Big Ted, Little Ted, Humpty... plus a few others. It also had the windows - square, round, arched and triangular.
Which window shall we go through today?

Indeed! I guess you missed Floella Benjamin and Brian Cant and Johnny Ball making fools of themselves then...
Did you watch 'Me and You'?
