So.... interrogation time...

I'm having one of those days, I'm bored, can't have any due to lack of and noone is on ICQ to talk to. Thus, I have decided that in the interests of being a very nosy female, that I want to know how spangly the meet was... I'm regretting not attending, so demand to know in glorious technicolour detail how much fun was had.

There are various write-ups floating around somewhere...
'Twas all terribly good fun. After last year, I was pleasantly surprised how many people I could put names to. Seems I knew (or at least knew of) most of the folks there.
All started on the Friday - I met up with Wele, and then went on to the pre-meet. Plenty of all round Can't remember much of the evening - I'm sure I was waffling complete nonsense at Mina for part of it. At one point Mina tried on Wele's (home made!) cloak - and managed to break the little chain that keeps it done up. Must remind her about that, come to think of it...
So, Saturday afternoon... there was a large group of us at the meeting point before any Italics showed up. No surprises there Abi and Mina managed (somehow) to organise us all - taking £10 from us in the process, in return for which we got a couple of Altairian dollars, and a BBCi/h2g2 pen!
Some of us went to the first pub for drinks... I mean board games () while Abi took the others on a magical mystery tour. At the pub, we discovered they hadn't actually reserved us any space... so we grabbed the two biggest tables we could find. We only managed two games... the was much more interesting!
At one point a large group of Masons came in to the pub, and took up most of the space around the bar... all of a sudden it took twice as long to get a drink! All through the afternoon the size of the group was growing. We kind of took over part of the pub in the end!
Abi and her followers eventually turned up. I think they had enough time for a quick drink before Mina delegated getting everyone organised to move to the next pub to Anna. She wasn't quite assertive enough.. poor thing. I think Ashley finally got evryone moving.
We found our way to the evening pub, downstairs to 'our room'. More (can you see a theme developing?) - and food, which Abi had been assuring us she had 'over-ordered on'. Somewhere along the line, we managed to end up with much less food than we had hoped for. Ah well, more space for !
There was the obligatory quiz at some point - hosted by Abi, who asked the questions from a cupboard behind the bar... because that's where the microphone was! Quite a bit of heckling ensued, mainly from Pastey...
Various people seemed to drift off before the meet was over - without even saying bye properly And then it was all over - bar the walk to the station, during which KerrAvon attempted to pick Mina up, but ended up more rugby tackling her...
Definitely a top weekend!
