Dear Dr,

My life has not been all it could have recently. No job, and I find myself steaming towards my 23rd birthday. I am in need of recognition, and am going to resort to begging to get it. You seem very nice and so, with trpidation, I ask you to look at my article
`Zen and the art of being English` in the hope that you might be able to give me some help.

I thank you for your time.

Without wishing to sound patronizing, I think all the advice I could give has already been given to you, in the PR thread.

I can certainly see a great deal of potential in your writing - you seem to have great insight into many of the cultural subgroups that exist. However, I feel that you still have some way to go before you can communicate this effectively - without alienating the people you are 'analysing'. The entry feels like there should be a sort of humour there, but at present it feels very dark.

Can I ask if you've read the writing guidelines? (at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Writing-Guidelines ) You may find some useful advice there.

This may or may not be of much help to you. If there's anything you want to ask, feel free. Even if it's just to bounce ideas off me.
