Welcome to the fabulous h2g2 experience Helfrog! Within the next three months the handheld guide will be a reality and this Guide will be the actual material downloaded. So become a Researcher, write some entries and join the most exciting project this side of Alpha Centuri.
I'm Community Editor, if you need any assistance click on my name and come over to my page and leave a message.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say hello and welcome to h2g2: 'Hello and welcome to h2g2!'
With the formalities out of the way, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Jimi X, a member of the ACEs* team and a Sub-editor here in the world of make-believe. I've stopped by to help you navigate your way around this ever-increasing site.
A good place to start looking for interesting links is the ACEs home page at http://www.h2g2.com/A214796.
Peta, the community editor you've already met, can be found at http://www.h2g2.com/U24.
Douglas Adams' page is at http://www.h2g2.com/U42 (of course!)
I'm at http://www.h2g2.com/U53353
And I think that's quite enough links for starters.
If you've got any questions, do feel free to ask me at the above link. Hope to see you around!!

*ACEs are the Assistant Community Editors, sort of the official welcoming committee of h2g2. But of course, there's lots of others who will also give you a warm welcome if you stop by their pages and explain that you're new to the site and just wandering through.

Hey,
Are you sure it will be out that soon. That is a lot of information to compile or is it going to be online
upgradeable? Any information you have about this would be grea. The handheld would really help out my already reckless
travles.
