thank you. It seemed to miss a sub-editor - one minute PR, the next it was on the Front Page. I think it was because the English summer is nearly over!

oh because I thought it wasn't highbrow enough to make it into the guide ( someone said it was scatty) and another person thought I was being un - politically correct. I thought a sub would try and 'redeem' it. But I am thrilled and delighted with how it turned out.

I'm encouraged to try again. smiley - smiley

I'm working on the history of the Potteries ( that's where I grew up) I've been to the museum and the local library and got lots of books - plus things I know from my past ( my family were all 'potters') but there's a lot of stuff - and I need to get motivated. So perhaps now is the time to get it finished.

What are you going to be doing next?

smiley - wow That would make a great read. My roots can also be found in the Potteries despite me being a born and bred Oxonian. I look forward to it.

Me, I tend to start things and not necessarily finish them. smiley - blush I have been working on rescuing the WI and another on Morrisey from the Flea Market. However, I'm interested in the whole body image thing so perhaps I'll write about Barbie or then again I could create a piece on Sir Walter Raleigh....

Those topics *all sound interesting - my younger sisters had Barbie dolls( actually I think they were Sindy dolls) but I wouldn't let my daughter get one. She didn't like dolls anyway when she was a child and played with her brother's toys a lot. I think she had She-ra, which was quite scary. She had a lot of those My Little Pony things.

The thing that I've learnt is there's no new ideas and thus we need to look for another way of presenting a subject. So that's where I'm coming from these days. smiley - smiley I had barbie dolls when I was younger but never thought of them in this way until now. Oh and I remember My Little Pony smiley - smiley
