What is love anyway?

Post 1

$u$

'Love' is the ability to idealise someone. If your 'love' for someone is brought to a premature end, perhaps by their finishing the relationship, or ultimately their demise, or by the relationship never developing to the extent you may have wished, your mind idolises them. The myriad of imperfections and annoyances that through time generally deplete the 'love' you feel for someone never had a chance to take effect.

Love is so many emotions, but the ultimate one must be the feeling of having a 'soul mate'. If either party ends the relationship, or doesn't wish to begin it, then it simply wasn't 'meant to be'. You cannot make someone love you, and more importantly, you cannot (or should not) make yourself love someone else.

But didn't someone once say that the greatest human facet is the ability to dream?
