I wondered what happened!

Is everything ok?

Today I found a link that I just knew you would enjoy, and while I was checking my friends list I found you smiley - applause

I am reminded of your trials with that boy of yours

You may find some consolation in this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_veIGGP1Uh4

It proves that the uncommunicative smiley - erm lump(?) that is a teenage boy is universal (almost) and has no nationality. smiley - laugh

This is an Aussie clip but I have played it for friends of various nationalities and they can all identify with it - it seems that the only ones who can't are teenage males who ask "What's so funny?"

Enjoy smiley - biggrin

Thanks fo being 'a friend in need' smiley - hug
l'enfant terrible is on the run - for real- after an ugly scene at noon- don't know whether he feels he's had it his way or that he's been thrown out- hope he finds a place to stay at and doesn't go and sleep in the forest as promised...There's an ugly feeling of relief upon his departure - peace and quiet - a treat...Bad mum!

Wasn't away long - back by midnight, as I discovered in the morning, to my surprise - no one bothered to tell me smiley - laugh and I slept like a child trusting the big and dangerous world to take care of him smiley - weird What I keep marvelling at is my total lack of any 'psychic' or intuitive abilities - had no clue that my runaway was sleeping behind the wall, in the next room smiley - laugh
Thanks again for the link - it gave me a clue as to what might have gone wrong yesterday...

They may get older but they don't get smarter smiley - winkeye I remember one of my nephews ran away from home but, as he wasn't allowed to cross the road he didn't get far (he was very young) smiley - laugh

I'm very proud of you that you didn't panic when he left - believe me, when push comes to shove, self preservation will always win and teenage boys, for all their grumping know which side their bread is buttered on.

And don't bash yourself up for "total lack of any 'psychic' or intuitive abilities" - remember, there's got to be a brain to read before "psychic" kicks in. It's hard to read a story from a blank page smiley - evilgrin

It's a cycle ....

You spend the first few years teaching them to walk and talk, the next few years wishing that they'd sit down and shut up, a couple more years where they run amok and won't talk - then, with a bit of luck you can run amok and ignore them when they nag you smiley - evilgrin

A couple of thoughts ....

Grandchildren are Nature's revenge on your kids.

May we all live long enough to become a burden to our children smiley - biggrin

smiley - goodluck

Happy Easter!
We've still got a long way to go - the Orthodox Easter is on the 27-th April this year...I've managed to comprehend the difference between the Julian and the Gregorian calendars, which accounts for the different dates of Christmas celebrations in Russia and most of the world, but the calculation of Easter dates is beyond me...Must make an effort...something to do with lunar and solar calendars and correlation with the Jewish Passover...
How are things in Auckland? How's mum?

Auckland? I'm in Sydney smiley - laugh

Mum's ok - good days, bad days, but we just get on with it smiley - biggrin

I can never work out the Easter dates either - I just take the 4 days off and enjoy them smiley - ok

I used to know a lady who gave the BEST Russian Easter parties - great food, good vodka and a drunken candle procession around the house smiley - laugh

I hope that your Easter is as much fun smiley - hug

Aagh, not much fun - no food, as the rest of the family are fasting, and anyway , I'm on a horrible don't-eat-or-drink-anything diet (health reasons),
secondly, I don't drink vodka, and finally, a drunken candle procession around my apartment block in the slush and Moscow smog...brr..smiley - wah
Well, it's sunny today smiley - ok
