I was just ing when I read your intro. I'd like to know more about your wanderings by bike. Was it a motor cycle or a real honest to goodness pedal cycle?

Nah - no motor! These were good old-fashioned cycling tours.
Unfortunately I haven't been cycling for one year now because I've now got an artificial knee.

I've been told recumberents (?) are easier to use, maybe this could help you back on your bike!

When you cycled did you camp or use hostels etc?

Oh, varying. On the journey to England I was in Youth Hostels, on the journey to France I only had a sleeping bag with me and just enough money for food... England was quite frustrating though, because my dad always sent me money when I needed it and it took a week to arrive there then. Plus, I couldn't find a way out of London in the northern direction...

Recumbents (?) are bicycles you sit down in/on, laid back it takes all the weight off the legs, a bit like sitting in a chair. The people who use these inovative machines would never go back to an ordinary cycle.

I thought they may be easier for you to use!

Yes I did find my friend int he end, I just scanned the Who's Online for a couple of nights until I spotted him.

Oh, now I know what you mean! Naturally I know of these. But then I just bought a new bike (i.e. just before it happened) and secondly I think I'm too conservative... I've had racing-bikes since I was ten!
