If you want to submit your entry then:
Be factual, and base the entry around facts. Don't dominate it with humour, though if you can slip some appropriate jokes in thenthat's fine. Read a couple of official entries to get the idea of style (it took me three rejections before I clicked).
I you aren't bothered about submitting it:
Then you can do what you like

Oh yeah, they don't allow HTML in the official guide. Sorry
I ought to dig up a link to "The Sub-editors Guide To Approved GuideML", which says what you can and can't use (or at least - I can or can't allow into the official guide). PLus, it's a good place to learn new GuideML (like I did)

oh. Thank's for the tip... I guess I'll have to change some things around. GuideML.. I'll have to look into it.

You can get to the GuideML Clinic off the bottom of the h2g2 front page. It is very good. Bruce (or me) can answer any questions you may have on it. But Bruce is best.
(Bruce, btw, is the owner of the Clinic)

Sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really didn't think it would take this long for me to get back online. And I didn't think that life would be so boring and meaningless without the internet! (Well, not meaningless, and not boring all the time, but you know. )
This place has changed a lot since the last time I was here. (Wow, was it really 4 weeks ago?) For the better, of course. Oh, and about my entry, it is certainly taken linger than I would have thought. I don't know when (or if, hopefully not if) it will be finished, hopefully soon.
Until then, or not then but sometime in the future,
Skeeve

Well, if it feels like hard work, don't do it. The best works come from the heart, when you're really loving whayt you're writing about.
Beware, you may see less of me too...

Ahhhh.... what because? (your absence, that is)
No, it doesn't feel like work. I would just love to just sit at a computer all day and do things like this.... alas, the life sometimes gets in the way.
Well, until later or whatever,

Glad to hear you like the prospect
I may vanish cos I'm losing interest in being on h2g2. I'm shying away from the more busy places, seem to be sticking to more private conversations (likew here). And when they go...

the zen master of spork Posted Jul 4, 2000
When they go? When what goes? And when are they going? And, most importantly, why are they going?
Why do I seem so confused?????

When these private, 1-2-1 conversations die, I will have no reason to come back to h2g2...

I didn't realize it was time for the funeral party yet.... Is h2g2 shutting them down?????

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Jul 6, 2000
Nope. But you know the score. People just...don't bother posting in them...they get old....nobody comes back. The thread dies. Happens in every forum on h2g2.

Ohhh. I get it. Yes. I agree that that is very sad and was the basis of this site. (Besides, of course, the wealth of information.)
