LOL. Fun AND intriguing, of course. smiley - winkeye I remember the day TM introduced us very fondly. I love to make new friends, and I like keeping them even more. My very favourites, I love to talk to every day, just to know how life is treating them. What kind of music do you like? Hobbies? smiley - smiley I'm not trying to be nosy, it just gives me a more three dimensional idea of you. I've met a couple of your friends here, virtually, of course. Shazz, TM. I even imagine what it would be like to be sharing a bottle (or several) of wine with all of you. My best real life friends are my dogs. smiley - sadface And my Dad and his wife. smiley - smiley

Well, if you really want to know...
My collection of music goes from one end of the line to the other, which means I have a lot of different kinds of music. I could listen to a Bon Jovi album one day, Ice-T on the next an put in a CD with Dutch music on the third. Most of the times I even switch them on one day smiley - smiley. But if I had to pick a few of my favourites, I would say...
Genesis, The Gathering, Bon Jovi, Ice-T, Andre Hazes (Dutch singer), Spearhead, Breakbeat Era, Cypress Hill (and many more smiley - smiley )

That's quite the variety. smiley - smiley I am familiar with most of them. I like a lot of older music but there are quite a few new bands that I listen to. There are quite a few good Canadian bands around here that play some of the smaller clubs. They aren't big enough yet to play stadiums. In my younger years I went to every concert there was. Now, I'm very selective. I can't just take off for a weekend because of my dogs. Pearl Jam is playing in Toronto in Oct., and I like a lot of their stuff, so maybe. Otherwise, it would have to be Peter Gabriel, Genesis or Pink Floyd for me to make the trip. Buffalo is a lot closer, but no one's played there recently, that I would want to see.

I totally agree. Buffalo in the old days was much, much better smiley - winkeye.

Hi Again.

Just read about the get-together in the Post and I saw that you and Shazz and TM were there. Was it as much fun as I think it was? There's supposed to be more pictures soon, so I hope to get to see what all of you look like. smiley - smiley I envy you. smiley - smiley I'd love to meet all of the people I've come to know and love. smiley - smiley

It was absolutely brilliant. I had great fun down there. The rounders match was great fun (and the beer was cold...ish). Then we got absolutely soaking wet on the way to the pub. That added a whole new dimension to the party spirit smiley - smiley.
And the most important thing, The Dutch beat the English in a pool match smiley - smiley (That is, TM and me against everybody from the English crew who wanted to play...just for fun of course, there wasn't anything at stake or something...)

I'm glad everyone had such a good time. Maybe one day someone will come up with a matter transporter, and we can all meet. smiley - winkeye Congratulations on your victory in the pool match. smiley - smiley

Thank you very much. However, I think it meant a lot more to TM than to me. I was in it for the fun, so it didn't really matter to me if I would've lost.
Can you imagine that? Us all meeting? I heard we number about 45.000 researchers atm. That would be quite some crowded meet, right smiley - winkeye?

We would need a few good bands to play though. Keeping people satisfied is hard enough as it is, and I don't think a rounders match would suffice...
