Hey Joanna,
I'm doing an article for the h2g2 POST on user pages, and I had a few questions to ask you:
1. What do you use your page for?
2. To you, what makes a good page?
3. Do you often update your page?
Thank you so much!

I use my page frequently to check the status of my forum postings, and to see if anyone's left a message for me in my forum [I live in hope...]
To me, a good page is tidy to look at, contains information on the researcher and their interests, so that if I have anything in common with them I can leave a message and start a conversation... isn' t too graphics intensive, cause then it can sometimes take ages to load [please don't take that to mean I oppose graphics... moderation is good ]... Isn't too much of a text block either... and isn't too derogatory of the researcher who's page it is. I can't stand when people are like 'this is my page, and its rubbish, this is me and I'm boring...' cause in most instances it a) is blatently untrue and b) makes me leave the page quicker.
I've only been here a fortnight... my page stayed in beta for about two days after which I converted to GuideML... after I'd been here about a week I added the random online user & dancing link colours & counter. Two days ago I changed the text because I realised that it wasn't true, but only minorly. I add small things to the text from time to time... I'm just about to now.
I hope this helps you
Joanna
