Did you understand it clearly enough? (It's quite full of jargon and stuff)
Thanks for sub-editing my entry!
J'au-æmne Posted Jul 24, 2002
Yes, I thought so. I read it to my mother, too, and she understood it.
ATM the computer's in the kitchen, so I subedit by reading the entries aloud...

You illustrated your points with ample examples, so I think the jargon was well explained.

Computer in your kitchen, now there's a thought! Say hi to your mum for me, and tell her thanks for reading!
Nice to see you the other day by the way, even if I didn't get to say hello much.

Its good cuz you can get a snack right away... (there's a phone point in the kitchen; the other's in my mother's bedroom, & I couldn't go online late if it was up there)
It was good to see you too. There's so many people each time, I guess it's impossible to chat with everyone... would be good if we could do a h2g2 week away with that many people on it.
btw my mother says your welcome

Thanks!
Do you live in London? Because I'm thinking about organising a London Mini-meet fairly soon.

J'au-æmne Posted Jul 24, 2002
Alas no, I live in Manchester I will live in london one day, though. Sometimes I feel like it's my spiritual home. Alas, that doesn't help for the time being...

Frankie Roberto Posted Jul 24, 2002
Well, at least Manchester isn't too far away from London by train...

J'au-æmne Posted Jul 24, 2002
no, its only a couple of hours, and it's quite cheap if you can book in advance.

Frankie Roberto Posted Jul 24, 2002
Well, I really feel in the mood of going to see some live music soon. There are quite a few people on h2g2 who are into gigs, so maybe I'll try and organise something around that. Would you be interested?

J'au-æmne Posted Jul 24, 2002
in theory. trouble is, I don't think that the last train to manchester leaves very late...

Frankie Roberto Posted Jul 24, 2002
What kind of music do you like?
Thanks for sub-editing my entry!
J'au-æmne Posted Jul 24, 2002
I enjoy quite a wide range. I like bands like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, U2, I also like music of the kind of style that Sam plays (apparently - I just listened to a bit of a track he has on his personal space). But then again I wouldn't feel out of place at a prom, either

Frankie Roberto Posted Jul 25, 2002
Yeah I listened to that too and liked it. I'll invite Sam to this meet if I do organise it, as well as the other italics and some people on the sense of place - london site who are quite into live music.
Anyway, I'll talk about it more tomorrow, when my mind is thinking straighter!
