I have a bundle of notes now, and not much else, although I do have the links from the other conversation. Which is great!

You could always try to think of another way to force him to write an entry on your chosen subject... starting along the "bet you couldn't... " lines, maybe...

Science. I don't think he thinks he knows anything about it. The only thing that he's written that gets near it is 'how traditional weather vanes work' - most of the rest of his stuff is mainly on places.

A good idea that springs to mind is everyone picking a scientific subject, then he'll get one no matter what.
