Hi there I just stopped by your personal space and it seems that you've not been around here very long, so may I say welcome to the guide Share and Enjoy...

I don't really have a particular interest in Asperger's, except that I edited the Asperger's entry on here and did a bit of background research, and decided that the author knew what s/he was talking about and that it was a very good entry.

At the moment (unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it) subeditors aren't chosen to edit entries that they have specific knowledge in. I just got the aspergers one by chance, but I do think its an interesting and important topic.

If you want to find people with more of an interest than mine I suggest you look up those who posted to the conversations off of the asperger's entry, or resurrect one of those conversations (the forum is herehttp://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F72200?showthread=137995)

Ah, ok. As you can see from my homepage, I have just found out I may be an Asperger's sufferer..which is nice.

From reading, its hard to get diagnosed if you're an adult sufferer. Good luck... if you have Aspergers... I wish I could be of more help...

Yeah, apparently unless it's causing you problems in your life, you won't get diagnosed. I'd say if I have got it, it's not really causing me any serious problems at the moment. However, it might help explain a few things, particularly about my childhood/teenage problems, so in that sense, I'd quite like to know, but I guess I could live without it. It might be better to be able to say, to myslef and to others, not that I had problems as a kid, but that I had A specific problem. Still, there you go.
