Well, here we are again. Hi, Z smiley - smiley Yeh, my journal's gone AWOL too. And I gather we can't swear or spit about it. I'm sure that's a contravention of Human Rights...

Hi Morgan smiley - smiley Shall we kidnap BluesSlider's journal for a bit of banter?

This moderating reminds me very much of the stuff I used to do on AOL when we first got Internet back in '96. It is nasty business, but I tried to do it fairly. After 3 years I decided there was no way around the fact that, terms of service violation notwithstanding, it was censorship. Not worth the free Internet service I got for doing it. And definitely not worth the abuse from the members.

Anyway...I wonder if the BBC would shudder to know they have an AOL feel smiley - smiley

*Lounging on one of the Slider's conversational sofas...*

Yes, let's make ourselves at home. Dreadful service though, he hasn't offered us a beer or anything smiley - smiley I've got some misgivings about it too. It may be premature to judge, but I don't like moderated sites. I don't recall ever seeing anything too bad on the old h2 site anyway; and I'm not at all sure I want the faceless wonders at the BBC censoring my deathless gems...

Ah, we mustn't be too hard on dear BluesSlider. The poor man is working his fingers to the bone these days with nary an Internet connection in sight.

I've run across a few moderated posts/entries and for the life of me, given the topics being discussed, I can't figure out why the conversations are hidden or deleted. I guess I should be generous and allow some time for the moderators to get a feel for things and the emotions to settle down. If conformity sets in, I will sit out.

It's about time Slider worked for a living. That boy spends way too much time online smiley - smiley Anyway, I think I'm with you on this one. If this place gets too vanilla I'll go back to some of the wilder Cyber frontier towns. You ever visit Biancas?

Well, I did a quickie search using Google and came up with a site that points to *a* Biancas, but not sure if it is the same site you are thinking of...I think I'd need to access this one using SafeWeb if I was playing online from work smiley - smiley

I like the sound of "wild Cyber frontier towns," though...

I think the full name is 'Bianca's Smut Shack'. Enough said smiley - smiley

It's a slice, isn't it? smiley - smiley But evidently too much for the Purity League, who were on the case right smartly, bless 'em. I do hope dear Slider isn't going to be too aufgepinkelt when he gets online and finds I've managed to get his journal shaken down by the Thought Police already... can I tell him it was all your fault? smiley - winkeye

Hmmmmm,

Post 15

PostMuse

You can try telling him it was all my fault, but I tend to think if he is going to be aufgepinkelt, it won't be either of us that bears the brunt of the aufgepinkelting smiley - smiley Besides, BluesSlider would be a gentleman and never believe it was the lady's fault. smiley - winkeye

Yes, I'm sure you're right. On the other hand, he would very readily believe it was MY fault, since it often is smiley - smiley

That little green smiley over in the corner is called "Yikes." You gonna report us to the authorities? Or do you have something more devious...and fun...in mind smiley - winkeye
