Better advice you cannot find! Always know where your towel is...

Welcome to h2g2! I am one of the ACEs (the Assistant Community Editors). We help Peta http://www.h2g2.com/U24 greet newcomers to the site.

You can find the ACEs' home page at http://www.h2g2.com/A214796 . That is a good place to find some interesting conversations and places to go in the site. It is filled with helpful links and is a good place to start.

Or you can visit me at my home page of http://www.h2g2.com/U53353 . As you can see from my page, I'm ready for X-mas!! smiley - winkeye

Anyway, welcome to h2g2 and give me or any of the other ACEs a shout if you get lost/confused or otherwise in need of a good chat!

Thanks for the greeting, Jimi. I have just discovered this web area (obviously), and am ready to submit my entries to the Guide as a field rep.

Take care.

Aha! A man who not only knows where his towel is, but likes to get right down to work! Erm.. Well.. okay, but don't forget to join some of the many parties you'll find floating about here at H2G2 as well! We'd all love to have you! (Erm.. your presence at our parties, I mean. smiley - winkeye)

Thanks for your words of welcome. I will certainly enjoy this truly unique cyber-area with on-line "hoopy" folks like you. Just the fact that we can say, "hoopy" makes it all worthwhile!

Jimi X:

Why wait? If the Guide is to be useful, then just loggin on and sitting on my hands would be a waste of all of our time.

Part of my responsibility in joining the Guide as a researcher is to submit entries. We all have our own experiences and thoughts to share, and, judging by the guide entries I have browsed, I am sure I can make a contribution, no matter how small.

Of course, I don't take all this completely seriously. I am not going to make it my life's goal to submit entries. Understanding the fun and tongue-in-cheek nature of this web site is key to getting the most out of it, although the Guide itself is a really interesting place to find information (REAL information) that is both entertaining and useful.

Take care,

The parties are floating about in forums, and some even have their own page... The best part about h2g2 (besides excersising your creative muscles) is in wandering around and meeting the people/mice/dragons/etc who inhabit the place (an interesting and diverse bunch). smiley - winkeye
