Your next h2g2 mission, should you choose to accept it, is to post a journal entry
Happy 2000!!!

Had a great New Years, how about you? I too am glad I was no where near times square-and more relieved that the terrorists were otherly located as well. I accept my mission and will complete the task as soon as I can think of something to say other than "Are ya' like me, are ya' lactose intolerant"
Happy 2000 to you to
Becky -still can't swing the smiles-I'm smiley deficient

In the plan all the while? What are they, on crack?!?!
A moment of silence for Doyle too, then.
How about instead of "lactose intolerant" you go with "You smell like the easter bunny" or "Freedom!!!" hehe

He's endlessly quotable, isn't he though?
So they have an address to write to save Doyle or at least to convince Joss Whedon that he has made his first major-and almost unforgivable mistake regarding Buffy and Angel. And the cherry on top of that mistake is having Wesley as a recurring character/love interest for Cordelia. OK, now let's think about this, who would you rather see every week Doyle or Wesley ? Who would you rather see Cordelia fall in love with Doyle or Wesley ;-( ? Really, I have nothing against Wesley. I could accept him as a minor bumbling foil to our beloved Scooby Gang, but like Cordelia-I was not moved to anything resembling emotion when he took his leave, with tail between legs-on gurney, I might add.
So, I think I may actually write a letter (whether it's mailed is another story). Both Angel and Cordelia are fantastic characters, but Doyle added a humanity to the show that is neccesary to keep it grounded and interesting. Wesley is too much of a "character" to fufill the same position. As a fourth member of the ensemble, I would welcome him with open arms, but without Doyle, I may soon be opening a TV guide to find out what else is on at 9pm on Tuesday.
Love,
Becky
