Do I Think There's A Difference Here?
Ossario T'an Started conversation Dec 27, 1999
Yes! I do!!
Mew is very well blended into the surroundings supplied...
Mewtwo, OTOH, most definately is *not* blending well into the surroundings supplied...
Perhaps some anti-aliasing in a suitable graphics package would help heap-loads... !!
If you needed help with that or anything relating to graphics, then daniel,PR(ACE) http://www.h2g2.com/U52300 should be able to help. The smiley faces changed to a festive season flavour and I expect they will revert to their former selves in the new year... !
Deducing gender from username/nicknames in cyberspace is not easy and some choose not to disclose such information. My first project here on H2G2 has been to publish on a Guide Entry some Schoolboy Poems, which happen to be my own. I am hoping next to publish a Guide Entry of Schoolgirl Poems for which I need contributions... from former schoolgirls. Details are available on my homepage -just click on my nickname above. If you were indeed once a schoolgirl and were able to help, I would appreciate your doing so.
Ossario T'an -who is male, btw.

Mew blending well and me not blending well was part of the point.
And, no, the scientists who created me made me male.

OK... Thanks for the correction and the info.
A toast then to you, the New Year, to blending well and not blending well, and to your future involvement in the H2G2 Community!

All right.

Keeza Posted Jan 4, 2000
'cuse me asking but are you sure that Mewtwo is male? Not being totally up on the subject but having absorbed it mostly through the fact my kids bedroom is plastered with various pokemon and my son has his nose permanently in the book quoting about it ...but I didn't think that pokemon actually had a gender....do tell 'cos then I'll have one over the 'pokemon-guide quoting primeape' I have at home.

Keeza, do you know about the new Gold and Silver versions of Pokémon? I'd have to say that we have genders in that. Pokémon also have *eggs*, too.

Keeza Posted Jan 5, 2000
*gasp* Oh no...as if evolving isn't enough now they have genders, eggs and dare I suggest it - they breed? I've survived Gargoyles, Beast Wars but it seems I have yet more to contend with.!
btw why are you both Mew and Mewtwo - I thought they are suppose to be opposing ends of the spectrum ? And if I may be so bold ...what's the PKMN for ? [ be patient - I'm only new and still catching up on ACES etc ]

If you'd watched the *whole* movie, you'd know that Mew and I went to this island where we and all the other Pokémon clones could live in peace, but now I've got bored and went to the H2G2 and Mew tagged along. Actually, the being who is doing all the talking is me, Mewtwo, and my "nickname" has Mew in it just to let you know he's there.

Actually I didn't watch any of the movie - my friend is taking the kids today while I'm skulking around at work earning the admission fees. Nice to know it has a 'happy' ending...undoubtably I'll get the garbled version of the storyline from my 9 yr old tonight with many interjections from the 7 yr old...further corrections from the 9 yr old... and the whole thing will end in a fight ...aka SNAFU
but thanks for clearing this up !

Also, Ash gets killed in the end but all the Pokémon tears bring him back to life, like in the ledgend.

Interesting ...the 9 yr old version was he got killed and all the pokemon "love" bought him back to life ...interesting connection tears=love...and still 4 yrs til he's a teenager...this is going to be good. I know I'm going to kick myself for asking this ...but is there a sequel ?
btw with the fickleness of youth they are currently working their way thru' Coolboarders - all pokemon forgotten but still nursing the bruises.
