It’s compiled by researchers just like you and it's something YOU can take part in. You have made a great start by opening your space I hope when you get to know us a little better you'll join in the general silliness and maybe even write for The Guide - but there's no rush - and it's not compulsory

We ACEs are volunteers here to assist new researchers so if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

I am sure that you will love this community as much as we do There's lots of things to see, clubs to join and people to meet - please don't be shy - just jump right in - this is a friendly place. But be careful - it can become quite addictive - believe me I know

As you are a "younger" researcher I will now point out some stuff that you should know - it's not too heavy and there's some fun stuff too

Hi Feisor. There is a really mean user called thunderblackcool that is being really out of order to me for no reason

Mean in what way?

There's a saying on h2g2 "Don't feed the troll."

This means that is someone is giving you a hard time the best thing to do is to simply ignore them. The more you react the more nasty postings you'll get, simply do not respond to their messages in any way - do not even acknowledge their presence,

I note that thunderblackcool has said that "forums are closed" - in a case like this I would simply reply to the post before his/her meassage, Start your reply by referring to the Researcher to whom you are speaking so that there can be no mistake that you are NOT replying to thunderblackcool.

But the most important thing is do not respond to any negative messages from this person - if he/she is polite and ok - then respond - but don't "feed the troll"
