Well... me has been playing one game quite a lot... me not sure if you would have heard of it... ~grin~.. it's quite new... but its very exciting... ~bigger grin~... it's called Space Invaders... Beep!! Beep!!

I remember that one! Personally I prefered Asteroids though
you can get alot of money for an original space indvaders cabinet nowadays.

so when did my favourite cat become an ace?

Hmmm... ~Greebo thinks back..~... about a week ago Peta informed me of my Acehood.... ~big happy grin~

I was gonna go for it, but never got time to do all the paper work, I expect the offer is closed now

Me was also asked to become a Sub Editor... ~proud grin~... but me not really got time for that... and me wouldn't want to do anything but my bestest in any job taken on...

they sent me the stuff for sub editing as well, I was quite confused since I'd only applied for being an ace, so I asked mr cynic about it and he explained it all to me

Me never asked to be a sub editor either.... ~grin~... an ace is enough for this simple cat... ~bigger grin~

so do you follow the standard ace welcoming format, or do you go for something a bit more greebo ish?

~grin~... well... me has to be a little aceish when me greets people... or whats the use of being an ace... ~grinny grin~... after all our job is it help people get settled in here at h2g2... ~hearty chuckle~... er... though me mist admit to frightening a few researchers... just a little... er... my Greebish nature sometimes peeps out when me not looking...

Me has always managed to talk my way out of tricky situations... and me has only ever been chased out of two forums... ~grin~... and me says if the don't want me... then me don;t want them... its to short a life to get upset at things like that...

Er... hmm... not that me likes being told to scat... and er... someone once threaten to .. give me the chop... er... down below... ~grinny grin~... they thought me was a man type pussy cat...

I've gone to a few pages before to say hi to ppl when the aces seem to be a bit slow, but I have to say I think it would be very nice to be welcomed in a greebo sort of way!
even the feminine persuasion of feline can have the chop in a way, isn't called being spade(probably spelt wrong)
