Storm & Hallowe'en
Posted Nov 1, 2000
Over in good old England, we've had a huge storm, which has nicely managed to disrupt the rail networks, bus services and general traffic patterns just about everywhere, with huge puddles [read: lakes] and fallen trees. Of course, it did have the advantage of making me miss some schoolwork with a viable excuse.
Hallowe'en.. didn't do much at all, in fact. On second thoughts, maybe I shouldn't have put this in the title...

Annoying GuideML
Posted Jul 23, 2000
Yes, I've done it! Finally, I've re-written my entire intro in GuideML. It wasn't really as complicated as I thought, except for those annoying little syntaxial (?) things:
1) All closing tags must be in the same case as opening tags.
2) All parameters must be in "inverted commas".
3) Even tags like have to be closed!
It might not seem much, but it can get really annoying for one so used to HTML. The good side is that they've got a GuideML checker which stops your page from collapsing in front of viewers' eyes. For more info on making your page GuideMLed, see http://www.h2g2.com/A187229

GuideML
Posted Jul 17, 2000
I'm thinking of re-writing my entire User Page in GuideML. It might be a bit tricky, but it's quite a good language for guide entries, but they really need to make a smiley tag for the blue fish .

Finally
Posted Jul 17, 2000
I don't why I bother doing this, as I doubt anyone reads it, but, for what it's worth...
Finally, it's my birthday! Well, tomorrow actually, and I should be getting a scanner! School's almost out, and it'll be finished on Friday, at which point I'll be free as... well, I'm not sure what, but I'll be free!!

Exams over!
Posted Jun 11, 2000
Yes, it is true. Certainly incredible for me, but my exams are (finally) over! I don't *think* I've failed anything!
Must...make...entry...on...Creatures! Soon. I hope.
