Hello, I can't believe I'm the first person to have said Hi, there are a large hangful of poeple out there whose *job* all be it unpaid, is to pop round new sites and say hello!! Tee hee!! I'm just friendly!! (OK, so most poeple would refer to me a a raging grea flirt too, but I call it just being friendly) Feel free to pop by my page where currently people are being very nice to each other, and a conversation about chat up lines has turned into one about hobbits!

Helena, you've seriously got to learn that typing takes care!

When can I expect to read YOUR name on the ACE pages...smiley - winkeye?

Hey, are you lot trying to do me out of a job? smiley - smiley Hello and welcome to h2g2 - as you've seen, the natives are generally pretty friendly! If you're ever in need of help or advice, feel free to ask and I'll try and point you in the right direction... just don't ask me about love, because I haven't worked it out either...

Aww, my poor Darling!!
And I don't think I'll ever be up on the Aces page, I think they want people who are vaguely computer literate too!! And since starting to become addicted to h2g2 my typing skills are almost back up to there old standard, only theres these three weird key that keep getting in the way....ø æ å ... now I learnt to type in scotland....

I was in a chat room once, talking to someone in America, and she couldn't understand how I kept hitting the # key when I was going for the return key - she wouldn't believe that American keyboards are laid out differently from British ones...

If I miss the return key here I hit ' or ¨ the last gives you the dotty bits abouve the o if you want to write sweedish or something.
The hash key is Shift 3, whats that on a normal (?) computer??

Shift 3 is a pound sign here - £ - my favourite is Ctrl-Alt-4, which is the Euro symbol - € - the American woman didn't know what that was either!

I don't get anything from ctrl-alt-4, but at least we have something in common. Shift-3 is the pound sign here, too. Only it's a different pound sign: #. To be honest, I thought all keyboards were pretty much the same wherever you went.
*Feeling rather sheepish at the moment*

Thats not a pound sign! Thats the Hash key, handy shortcut for students everywhere. I think someone is trying to bring out my not nice side on one of the forums he keeps saying nasty things... but the thing is I don't have a grey area, I'm either my usual sweet lovable self, or a complete and utter nasty bitch.. Maybe I should get myself a bitchy alter ego, I am the Evil Twin or something!!
hmmmmm
