recording

you know, recording for hours and hours and hours on end and only eating sparingly(bread and noodles, at that) eventually makes a person tired. especially when the person only got 3 hours sleep beforehand.
but it sure is fun anyway! and productive

Hey... Beck Hanson is right. That funkmaster says there's nothing like a big dumb guitar riff... and a chorus like "Can you feel my bass drum?" hits on a level you just can't mess with.
I think the same goes for bass... a cool funky bass line gets the same effect.
my merry band of performers, "GILL" as we like to call ourselves, came up with such a bass line today, and it was a wonderful thing. It and the new guitar riff i made spawned a whole new song... an odd one at that, as the guitar riff STARTS on the 4th beat so it goes 4, 1, 2, 3...
nothing like a potentially good new song to make a day. A new song just one day after the band is back working together too... that just has to make everyone feel great.

Too much to think about...
Learn a new song.
Read my book.
Watch cartoons to stop thinking,
Get some food to start again.
Sleep is waiting for my eyes to fall
the theme song on Insomniac Music Theatre is "Possibly Maybe" by Bjork
one more hour and then i'm done
tossing them around in my dreams keeps me from leaving
wishing i weren't so me
next thing i'm happy
for a
whole
NEW
day with some
brand
NEW
thoughts that hadn't surfaced until
yesterday throws a brick my way
too much to think abouT.
