As promised. This is a duplicate of the rather personal sounding message you posted on my forum. Looking at your site I have only this advice before my leingthy reply starts. You really need to find something more important in your life. I mean it. You are quite worrying in your obsession. Find girls my friend, find beer, find partying, find a sport, find more beer, find good food, find sci-fi. They will help. Oh, and find LINUX and a machine that lets you choose your OS.

Now, my response.

Wow, now I get actual abuse. Still doesn't deny teh fact that Macs are dying. You know that Evil Nasty company Microsoft. Guess who bailed you lot out after you nearly went bankrupt. Yup Microsoft. And don't assume moral highground. I'm a Big fan of LINUX. The (Yes the although teh is such a common typo that most people actually work it out. Just follow TEH flow of TEH text) Anyway. Yes, I use Windows because.

1) All the computers in this uni were recently upgraded to PCs moving the older macs and the new Imacs to teh lesser used labs and preferably into departments for arts students. All the PCs now run windows NT.

2) While being fluent in both o/s's I prefer teh way Windows swithces applications. All too often I see an inexperienced user on an apple who wonders why his memory is being clogged up. Yup, he's forgotten to quit his applications and has just closed the windows. I prefer having the application left in the window and switched using teh taskbar (A system similarly used in LINUX). I find that both systems crash about the same number of times, teh difference is that the apple has almost always needed restarting. I find Windows more robust (as in it can take everything going wrong and still keep ticking)

For teh spelling and grammar, are you making this personal or is it a pointless mac function? ie WHO CARES. Its a forum entry. I don't spellcheck my emails unless they have an official purpose. Neither do my friends, this is because we have lives to get on with and can't be bothered checking all our spelling and punctuation.

Microsoft may not have innovated much but they have usurped the PC status from apple (Who seemed to be aiming for a monopoly anyway, copywriting everything about the machine, lovely and giving company) and has created one of teh biggest monopolys on the planet without anyone noticing and become the richest man in the world. I'd call that an achievement.

I would check the websites but, alas I have no need to visit either of teh websites as teh university has more than adequate tech support. At home I have support from the Manufacturers of my PC and no internet link (Sadly we poor people can't afford such luxury, we have to use floppys) Anyway, a website does not a machine make. Try reviewing your machine once in a while.

Apple love to use a "Moral Highground" On tehir product. A Beat Microsoft attatude goes with their sales pitch (Even though all new apples have both netscape and IE becase of teh microsoft bail out. I understand Apple still wishes people to pay for their OS? Hmm. Try LINUX, opensource and free.

I sincerely hope you are not trying to make this personal as this is ver impolite and proves that your arguing point is so low that all you can do is take cheap shots at me. I am posting a duplicate of this message on your home page, lest you try to ignore it.

Oh, ad teh douglas addams thing. I understand his position. He's an Author (and a very good one.) He needs to use 1 application. He could own a word processor and get roughly the same performance.

I may be a fool, but my machine is not a failing format

Sorry, missed out my subject. At least I haven't posted any dead links though.
