Just You
Each time we meet
I am filled with the warmth of your presence.
Breath escapes me
And the ground falls from beneath me.
We spend our time
Sharing feeling,
Holding each other tight
Finding ourselves, finding each other
When we part
You take a part of me with you
Leaving me grasping at straws
At the loss of your presence.

OUR THIRST
Our thirst :
Is the strongest of all.
We cry for water:
Tears of salt,
Tears of blood.
Our mouths taste of dirt.
Our sweat bleeds into our eyes.
Our souls caked with dirt.
Please hear our cries!
Bring an end to this torment.
Take us to our homes,
So that we may drink:
The sweet waters of hope.
