The 4th Cyclist of the Apocalypse

Hi! I was wondering, what does Croz the Fourth Cyclist of the Apocalpse know?

Well, if you find his h2g2 page that you were talking to him on before you will find my comment. I believe he is rather like Henry's Cat (do you remember it). My singing isn't up to much but here goes:
"You must have seen the movie,
You must have read the book.
He's a mellow, yellow, feline so take a second look.
He knows everything about nothing and too much about that.
Something something something
You must know Henry's cat.
You must know Henry's cat."
I loved that programme when I was younger so I thought I'd share the theme tune with you and anyone else out there who used to love it.

It rings a bell, but I don't think I remember it all that well..
I do remember Top Cat and Heathcliff, thought!
(And ALWAYS Garfield smiley - winkeye )

Why don't we devise an 'all time favourite cartoon' forum. What was your favourite cartoon? Let me have your suggestions and if it works I'll make a guide about it.

Good idea - just give me a day or two to struggle to bring back all those childhood memories. Do film cartoons & one-offs count, as I loved Paul McCartney's "Rupert The Bear And The Frog Song" when I was a kid.

Yes, any all time favourites and the year they were broadcasted aswell if possible. Thanks for the interest.

Okay, I'll try to think of some. I've so far come up with:

The Muppet Babies
Ulysees 31
Potsworth & Co.
The Pinky & The Brain

The years? Any idea? I don't recall Ulysees 31? I'll still use it but what was that? Thanks!

I'm sorry, I've got no idea about the years. Ulysees 31 was the story of the spaceship The Odyssey journeying through the kingdom of Hades as Ulysees had angered the gods by murdering Cyclops, and so his crew were dead until he could free them from the spell. Really cool.

Also:
Droids
Ewoks

I remember the Ewoks. They were those cute bear type creatures weren't they? The song went something like: 'We're the E, E, E, E, Ewoks...' (can't remember the rest).

Droids? Were you really born in the same era as me? I don't recall all this stuff!

I just watched different stuff to everyone else.
While they were watching "Round The World in 80 Days" and "Cities Of Gold" I was watching more sci-fi cartoons...
Unless it's a country thing again. I'm in the UK, you too?

Sure, Manchester (at weekends) and Edge Hill University (during the week). I remember 80 Days Around The World With Willie Fog. Is that what you mean?

Ulysees31 was done in 1981 if you are interested (oops, showing my age there).

Other ones you should include:

Belle and Sebastian
Moomins
Crystal Tips and Alastair
Bertha

Oh and we mustn't forget all those Saturday morning classics:
Wide Awake Club
Number 73
8.15 From Manchester
Saturday Superstore
parallel nine
Going Live
Gimme five
On the Waterfront
Up2U

There's loads more, somewhere.

Oh - I was only 1 when that was shown then... And yes, I meant the WIllie Fogg thing.

I was only 1 then too. I only know about how old it is because they were repeating them on channel 4 a while back (very early in the morning)

More to add:
The Magic Roundabout
The Clangers
Rainbow
Orm and Cheep
Galloping Galaxies

Wait a min, Galloping Galaxies wasn't a cartoon. Scratch that.

Nor was The Magic Roundabout.

I also enjoyed:
Inspector Gadget
Star Trek: The Animated Series
Flash Gordon
The Mr Men (don't laugh - I was a kid)
Rupert the Bear
The Pink Panther

I suppose it depends on what you call a cartoon. If you count plastic, plasticene and clay models you can include Magic roundabout.

You can also include Morph, Wallace + Gromit, Rex the Runt, Gogs, and Fingermouse.

Well, you two just chat away why don't you! Just for interest purposes my favourites were Penny Crayon and that one with the girl and boy who are friends with the Loch Ness Monsters. I can't remember the name of it just now but I watched an episode of it the other day and loved every minute of it! I might sound like an old woman when I say this but kids programmes today just aren't the same are they? I grew up with The Broom Cupboard and Phillip Schofield and Gorden T Gopher. Them were the days! I think that they are ripping todays kids off with tacky stuff like that thing on ITV where they make a whole programme out of some bloke doing so called 'magic tricks' which are actually just camera tricks but the kids love it. It gets my back up something shocking! What do you think?

I think you are referring to The Family Ness young Deano.

More classic cartoons:
Jimbo and the Jet Set
Bananaman
The Fiddly Foodle Bird
