I'm new here and was cruising through replies to my stuff. Hope you don't mind but I followed the link from Nyssabird (who IMHO is uber-cool and I wish her all the joy in the world! xx )

Yes, Nyssa is incredibly gorgeous, I just wish I could of met her when she was over in England . Gorgeous, intelligent, witty, a bit rude, utterly fantastic.....Dont you hate women like that .
I feel I should let you know now, that although I could probably prounounce what you've written in Welsh...Im not sure what it says.., Im learning from a book and cassette, so only know a few phrases. Although I can do a conversation from the book, observe...and laugh at my mistakes!:
"Bore da"
"Bore da, pwy dch i?"
"Matthew, udw i?"
"Ellen udw i, tutor y cwrs (or something) Cymru"
"Dysgwr udw i, dysgwr nerfus iawn"
...and so on, Ellen says "welcome to LLambed Matthew, dont be nervous, it will all work out in the end."
So very...very cheesey.

Thanks for such a lovely answer. I nearly didn't post at all - I find this a bit difficult and even a little invasive, truth be told...

As regards Henffych!, it's an archaic Welsh term meaning 'Greetings!' or 'Hail!', like the Latin 'Ave!'....
I was kinda testing out how much Welsh you do speak, since your name is quite a complex term.
The last bit was more personal - let's just say I can relate to some of the things I saw in your Journal...
