First of all, I like your page a lot and would like to add a link to it to my page, if that's all right with you. I thought it'd be courteous if I asked first!)
There's one term you've used that intrigues me: "hard sci-fi". I haven't come across that expression before, and I'm not sure what it means. It sounds like a cross between sci-fi and hard porn, but I don't think Douglas Adams has ever written anything like that!
Could you explain, please? smiley - fish

I would be extremely honored if you would add link to my page from yours. Thanks for the courtesy smiley - smiley

As for Hard SciFi, it's used to define science fiction that has a true science fact backround. Larry Niven, Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke would all be good examples of hard SciFi.

Whether putting DNA in the Hard SciFi list would be a good debate. Even though he uses comedy to get his point across, I don't think I have seen him use a plot device that couldn't be proven with science. Therefore, my vote would be to include him.

Thanks for the explanation of "hard sci-fi". Now that I know what it means, I agree with you - I'd say DNA qualifies. smiley - fish
I'm now off to my page to add you to my "Some friendly life-forms" list. You'll be in good company there, I promise! smiley - smiley
