h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Okay... May 16th... This year sucks! I have come to the conclusion that my mind took a vacation when I said that my VERY soon-to-be ex husband was NOT a bad man (my heart obviously held my brain up at gun-point on that one). The fact is, he is a ROYAL JERK!!!!!! The divorce papers have been long since filed, and he is planning on fighting tooth and nail. That's not what's bad. I had expected him to fight. What's unacceptable is trying to take my children away from, telling lies about me, and campaigning mutual friends for support in court - *I* am NOT doing that!

What I find myself caught up in is the battle of my life. Also, at the same time, I am preparing to move. NOT a good combination, but a necessary inconvenience. My parents have found a nice little home near them that is available (they live in Florida). I find that an offer too tempting to pass up. The kids will be with their grandparents, and I will have familial support I desperately need. Plus, I *miss* my hometown! I miss the pleasures of the beach and the warmth of South Florida, as well. I would be better off down there no matter how you look at it.

Now, if I can keep the jerk from stopping me, I will be set. His threats to file an injunction to keep me in this town do upset me and worry me, but my lawyer says it will only serve to make him look even more like the jerk he is. We shall see. For now, I continue packing and continue to keep the kids in ignorant bliss. They still think he is a wonderful Dad and have no clue as to how bad things are. Lovely irony, isn't it? Ah, but it is better for them - even I know this to be true. For me, it will be very satisfying when he and his Mother fail, in court, to show evidence of my supposedly using the kids as "pawns"!!!

Well, maybe next month will be better. In the meanwhile, back to packing I go! (Note to self: Make sure you get a thong bikini! LOL!!)
