Cheese, how about joining again, and setting the 'Delivery Options' to 'No Mail / Web Only'?
...that way you could use it kind of like popping up at an old Conversation, not bothering to read all the backlog if it's too extensive, but just jump right into the action...
I discovered something by accident: try typing : ) without the space...
