We authorised you on our ICQ list last night. However we feel you should know that we will be unable to ICQ for a very long while after next Friday, because we are unable to install ICQ on the university network...
We await your authorisation... or did last time we loaded ICQ...

The Cheese is very happy as the graphics on his page can now be dragged around like toys. He is, however, confused about the ICQ thing as it still lists him as unauthorized....

We suggest that you send us a request for authorisation again, and we regret that since we have returned to Durham we will be unable to do anything about it until July.

I think the forum ressurected itself because I am currently relieved of two duties and hence have more itme, those duties being:

Beta testing h2g2v2 (although as soon as they get some code for h2g2v2.1, I go back to testing) AND

Subbing (since I'll be home only on weekends till mid-July, I won't sub till then either).

I think they should give us simple HTML in the fora--just , , , . They've written a parser for it /anyway/, so why not just add it? Sigh...

We think that the problem with is that not everyone has them all installed. And things in symbol fonts look wierd in normal text... but and would be very useful, I think.

It is rumoured that they will be allowing colours soon through use of GuideML tags for the fora...perhaps also italics and bold?

Really? I'd not heard that one. It would be cool... if one had colour, though, one may find that ppl associated a colour with where they would've had bold, and a different one where they would've had italic. but then again maybe they won't...

Well, I'm busy at uni, I'm supposed to be designing webpages but I haven't had any time... I'm going to my friend's wedding on Satuday, so that should be fun...
