h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Thanks for editing my entry - it looks great!

However, in the editing process some factual errors have crept in which should be changed - sorry!

1. INTRO - you have written 'Richard D James of Aphex Twin'. I've noticed you don't like the use of parentheses so you can change this to 'Richard D James aka Aphex Twin'. The thing to note is that Aphex Twin is just one person, Richard.

2. SQUAREPUSHER - you have changed my line 'as is his brother Andy Jenkinson' to 'along with his brother Andy Jenkinson'. The change implies that they have worked together which they haven't. Andy is very much conscious of being in his brother's shadow so it should be made clear that he works alone. I didn't give Andy a separate entry as he hasn't released any records on Rephlex but I wanted to mention him as he is part of the Rephlex crew - and makes wicked tracks!

3. VIBERT/SIMMONDS - you have written 'launching their career'. Sadly it is only Luke Vibert who has made a career for himself. Maybe I didn't make it too clear as I was sensitive to Jeremy's feelings. Perhaps change this to a new sentence 'This launched Luke's career and he has become one of the masters of sample-based music'.

4. BOGDAN - Your footnote made me realise that you thought I meant the safety of the spectator. In fact I meant the safety of Bogdan - his stage performance can be quite manic, jumping off tables etc. So this should be changed back, maybe to this: '...are legendary - one often fears for his safety - and never...' if you don't like brackets.

5. DMX KREW - A similar error to Aphex Twin, DMX Krew is just one person, Ed DMX. So 'Ed DMX with DMX Krew' should be changed to 'Ed DMX as DMX Krew'.

There are also a few typos:

7. VIBERT/SIMMONDS - 'Falmouthby' should have a space between the words.

8. GLOBAL GOON - 'By whimsical and evocative turns' is incorrect and should be 'By turns whimsical and evocative'.

9. MIKE DRED - Remove the word 'and' in '...alongside Aphex Twin and amongst others...'

10. THE REST - In the penultimate line there is a question mark after the word 'MC'

It's up to you but I would also question the link in the intro to the word 'drum' as that entry makes no mention of drum & bass. Also 'drum and bass' should be changed to 'drum & bass' as it is a term.
