You asked for a Guardian Angel?
Well, I just happened to be flying by, and I read your message to GOD.
So, here I am! Do you need my help, or just want to talk? We can chat here, or on my page, it's up to you! I'm sorry to hear about your girlfriend, and I'd like you to tell me, honestly, what do you miss? You say you just want her to come back, but, if she came back, would you be able to trust her? I do sympathize that you are on your own & lonely, I am too, but there is never a good excuse for taking an ex- back. And that is what she is, now, I'm afraid. Your ex. Look at it that way, that she belongs in the past, and you will start getting over her, then you can start looking for your next girlfriend. I bet she'll be better than the last one! Think positive, and it'll show in your face. After all, no-one is attracted to anyone who is always down in the dumps. And nothing peeves an ex more, than their ex having a good time......! If you want to chat further on this subject or any other, just click reply & I'll be back!
See you soon!

Dear Galaxy Babe;
What do I miss? I miss HER. And I'm well aware of the fact that no one likes a sad loser. I don't go around sulking and whining about her - at least not half as much as I used to - but I just can't stop thinking about her. Well, thinking about her isn't quite the right phrase, it's more a sort of a constant presence in the back of my mind than actual conscious thoughts about her. And hardly a night goes by without her popping up in my dreams in some way.
And if she came back tomorrow I would take her back without a nanosecond's hesitation. I don't really see what you mean when you ask me if I think I can trust her. She's never let me down before, that is, until she let me down.
I don't want to start looking for my next girlfriend, I'm not into any stream-of-girlfriends game anymore, NO ONE can be better than the last one. She's the only one I want. It's as simple as that.
But thanks for caring, anyway. And I'm not saying I won't get over her. I probably will, in about a hundred years' time, but that's no good to me NOW.
Which is why I was looking for a patron saint of broken hearts, or something similar. And don't get me wrong, dear fellow researcher, but you are the patron saint of tantrums. That's not quite the same thing. It's not even remotely similar. I'm allergic to tantrums. I grew up trying hard but unsuccessfully not to provoke them at home.
So I hope you won't throw one if I decline to take you on as my personal guardian angel.
But there's loads of other stuff we can talk about, science fiction, for instance. If you're a fan you've probably got some tips on any good writers? Personally I'm very fond of the work of Iain M. Banks, and I'm amazed that there is no entry on him in the Guide. Maybe I'll have to do it myself. Have you read any of his books? If not you've got something very good coming. Drop me a line and I'll recommend a bit more specifically.
Sincerely yours,
the wiz

Thank you, wiz, of course we can talk about anything you want to!
I'm sorry my advice was so off.
I'm also sorry about my name, I actually didn't choose to be the Patron Saint of Tantrums, it chose me....or should I say, GOD did.
The reason I flew by, was because I happened to be in the forum & read your message for help, and saw nobody had answered.
I suggest you go back to the original thread, ask for the Patron Saint of Broken Hearts and request that you will settle for no-one else.
I am sorry you did not want to be my very first Guardee.
Bye,
Galaxy Babe.

And now I'm sorry too, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. But how about that science fiction discussion? On your Space you say you are a fan, and so am I.

The last sci-fi I *read*, were Star Trek books.
I am still trying to get hold of I,Q by Peter David.
I enjoyed Stranger in a strange land....

Yeah, that's the space Mowgli, the human child who grows
up on Mars and then returns to earth and instantly becomes
a celebrity but eventually can't stand the pressure.
Brilliant book as I recall and a sci-fi classic, but
it's ages since I read it and I can't quite remember
how it all ends. I've read some of his other books as well,
and there is one called Friday which is also quite good.

I lent it to a friend & never got it back
I recall one of the females making love with him & it being so intense she fainted. {giggles}
Did you ever see t-shirts with "I GROK SPOCK" on?
Hello wizard
wizard Posted Aug 25, 2000
Spock from Star Trek? No. I've not seen those.
I see you are all partying hard at the End of the World?
Hello wizard
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Aug 25, 2000
Well Parties! are what Angels do best!
Please join us!
Spock from Star Trek, yes, but the "grok" came from Heinlein's book... a mixture of the two, which not a lot of people understood!
See you in the Party? You can buy me a drink, if you like
