Me is a Colledge Studint!!!
Posted Dec 26, 1999
I registered and paid for my six credits of German at Hunter College this week. I've been trying to go back and complete my bachelors degree for quite a while now. It's odd, going back to university as an adult. It feels a bit strange, but I must complete my degree before I take over the world.

Thanksgiving shopping
Posted Nov 21, 1999
The huge supermarket in Mount Vernon, New York already has the Xmas trees lined up outside the store.
What I thought was acorn squash was actually the butternut squash that I needed, but they were already gigantic.
I couldn't find a good ol' fashioned box of "raw" wild rice. Everything was instant!
Poultry string was no where to be found, nor were sweet onions. I'll have to go to Manhattan to finish the ingredient and equipment list, after all. Desserts are coming from Manhattan, anyway.

Cheap Shoes
Posted Nov 16, 1999
Ouch. I saw 'em underneath my sister's bed. They were the perfect boots to go with the skirt. I picked up the brown boots with the cute chunky heels. I looked at the size. It was a seven, and I wear a six and a half, but okay. I saw that they were made in China. Okay. I saw that they were made out of pleather. Okay. I put them on and they fit as well as they possibly could. Okay. I made the worst mistake I could ever make. I'm in agony. Every step I take feels like I'm going to fall over and hit my head on the sidewalk, the carpeting.. whatever. I feel like I'm walking on tip-toes every where I go. The heel is not very high, but my foot is forced into an extremely unnatural position. Aaaaargh... this is what comes of borrowing my sister's boots. I've learned my lesson. I always wondered why she never wore this pair. KK

When ya think no one's listening...
Posted Nov 9, 1999
Americans (U.S.. I mean) speak perfect BBC-accented English when they think no Brits are listening. We also spell "color" and words of that sort with the correct "ou" vowel combination when we think that no-one's reading. Try it! Borrow a friend's American passport, mangle it by mutilating it with your photograph... and pick up an American newspaper and see what happens to words like "centre, colour" etc.
