I've been following the Japanese Anime thread; I was really hoping that Blues Shark would follow through with his offer to start a club or a dedicated space on the topic. As soon as I get a VCR or DVD player (like that'll happen soon! ) I plan to start renting some of the titles suggested.

Things going well here; got my raise, didn't go near as far as I hoped and I even got a bigger one than I asked for! (10%). Doggone economy.

How's things in your neck of the woods? Like the martial arts thing, for instance. I found a yoga studio which has open classes, and will be attending weekly. Apparently I'm not the only one who can't afford to purchase a "series" of classes -- for people like me, there's something called "community classes" -- basically walk in, pay cash, spread out you mat, pretzel yourself for an hour.

Hope all is well with the spousal unit and little replacement units. Give them my best!

We are fine.
Congratulations on the raise. I've been stressed with taxes and stuff, but we are all healthy and happy. I've been progressing well in Martial arts. I am just about to take my yellow belt test!

Glad to hear all are hale and hearty. I am quite glad to have the tax torture over for another year, myself.

I'm going to my first yoga class tomorrow night, will let you know how it goes. I have a couple of days off work (Friday and Monday) and, besides hiring a back-hoe to clear out my apartment , I hope to make a trip up to Descanso Gardens, by Montrose. You might check the place out sometime -- they have a narrow gauge railroad to give rides to the kiddies (which they only run on weekends, I think ), and a huge bird and turtle lake sanctuary to entertain kids as well. And, it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL right now! Quite one of the best gardens around.
