Thank you - these remakes are not films I've seen, although I have seen the animated versions smiley - ok

I wonder if the paragraph about mo-cap would sit better in with the film(s) it relates to - currently there's a lot to take in before we get to information about the films.

Please can the C-word be changed in the description of Mulan's father? He is described as a war hero - is it that he was injured when previously serving in the army?

"With China being a more profitable cinema market than the United States of America" - I think there's a subtlety here that I'm missing, sorry - the USA is the world's largest cinema market and China is second, but profit-wise Disney could make more from box office in China than in USA?

"echoed with calls against police brutality" - I think there's some more subtlety I'm missing, sorry, as I'm not sure what that means.

In the Cruella section "adapted" should be "adopted"? The Baroness is a fashion 'magnate'?

" Cruella just achieves the same story with fewer animals and more clothes" - smiley - snorksmiley - ok

The Rescue Rangers film sounds weird in comparison with the original TV series, and that's a shame about Gadget being sidelined, as she was a great character, but I'm glad the film comes across as more like Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

"Another key scene is dominated by a pile of manure, which has been interpreted as a summary of the film." - smiley - snorksmiley - ok

Interesting Reboot Test for Peter Pan and Wendy smiley - ok

"Sometimes less is more, especially for a film aimed in large part at young children." - yes indeed - more than 2 hours is a lot for a family film...

smiley - ok

Thanks for your comments, I've made tweaks so hopefully that is all clearer.

With regards China, without going into too much detail in the entry, China is the world's largest cinema market. There are a lot more people there than in the US. However China is not an open market, so not every US film is released there. Far from it. There are fluctuations between the number of international films China allows to be shown - usually they operate a quota system, but may impose an outright bans on all US films. Any film they show has to pass rigorous censorship, but if it is allowed to be shown in China then a film's potential profits doubles.
There was a period US films were being increasingly made to be palatable to the Chinese film market, however that trend reversed, particularly with anti-Chinese rhetoric on the rise. And with the US/China tariff trade war, it seems unlikely that they'll show many US films.
