Hi Raddish, (I wonder if you will ever read this).

If you *do* read this you may like to know that your entry made me laugh out loud, especially the entirely gratuitous cleavage jokes. Oh, and the painful recognition of sausages in - er - sauce that I have eaten in my time.

What I am about to say next may make no sense to you. There are a group of us who are trying to get more recognition for good entries which are not suitable for the edited guide. In some respects I think this IS suitable for the edited guide, but if Anna has put it in here, that suggests that the verdict is 'no'.

What I am curious to know is whether my fellow Underguiders consider it suitable for the Underguide.

At first I didn't think it was suitable, but anything which makes me laugh out loud has got *something* going for it. To be honest if there was an underguide to vote for, I think I would cast a vote in favour of this one.

What do other Underguiders think?

I read this a while ago, and whilst i quite enjoyed it, i'm not too sure...

it's one of those 'silly' pieces that are fun but lightweight.

Not by any means a condemnation, but a reservation.

Thanks for the responses to this, haven't been around here for ages due to all kinds of computer problems, and pleasantly surprised to see somebody actually read something I wrote!
It was actually done as a bit of a jokey birthday present for a mate of mine who, when I visited, we'd only ever eat sausages in sauce, hence the recipe.
Can't remember why I put it in h2g2, why not I guess?
The underguide sounds intriguing, will it lead to an in-between guide, a leftways guide or anything else I wonder?
Anyway, nice to talk to others who float around here, can't promise I'll be in too much due to work (boooo) but who knows?
And maybe one day I'll write something else, bet you can't wait...

For the record, I think it was a bit short of clever, though how are you going to write a clever recipe , but it was funny.

Oh dear, this is just the sort of food I rescued that lizard from way back when we got together in our student days. Makes me ever so glad that I can cook.

It is a bit lightweight, but I can't say I'm sorry to have read it. Probably not going to rush out for sausages though. Mind you, I do have rather a lot of cleavage, and I can't say I've ever given a great deal of thought to the culinary applications of my chest...
