*waits to hear from Opti how I can improve the entry*
Is this entry really considered unsuitable for the Edited Guide?

Mina Posted Jan 19, 2006
I think that Opti has an entry in PR so is perhaps trying to 'drum up' trade by reviewing himself. Very admirable, but the comments have all been remarkably similar and perhaps not as constructive as they were intended.

There's a link to A623620 (Big Brother) if you need it

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Feb 1, 2006
Why do you include a link to The Picture of Dorian Gray when you don't refer to it in the Entry?
A6130306 - Richard and Judy - TV Presenters
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Feb 1, 2006
Because I did say Richard is like Dorian Gray but then had second thoughts because it's personal opinion and took it out on the advice of another Researcher. I'll remove the link.

Added this:
Doctor Who
<<Richard and Judy are both huge fans of the BBC's Doctor Who. They have been delighted to introduce guests from the show such as Billie Piper ('Rose Tyler', the current Doctor's assistant); John Barrowman, who played 'Captain Jack Harkness' (see below) and David Tennant, the 10th Doctor. Their first guest in February 2006 was Tom Baker, the fourth incarnation of The Doctor, and how he had recently been voted the most popular Doctor Who character. He happily chatted about how excited he was about the revived programme, particularly because Elisabeth Sladen ('Sarah Jane Smith') was busy filming the next series. Richard professed surprise at this news and asked how much she'd aged, to which Tom replied:
Not at all. She's gorgeous. She could walk down the street and you'd know it's her. I should know, I dream about her often enough. [guffaw]
Tom went on to tell Judy how boring life is in France (he lives there because his wife likes it) and how all the ex-pat Brits get together to talk about M&S food and long for fish, chips and mushy peas, and a decent pint of bitter. He even missed the British weather - Judy asked him why he hasn't got a suntan and he said:
Because I hate the b****y sun. It's too d****d hot. I'd give anything to walk in the Spring rain. [throws arms up] I can't strip off on the beach even - can you imagine? [pats his rotund middle] Me in jazzy Bermuda shorts? I'd attract the Japanese whaling fleet. [guffaw]
By this time, Richard and Judy were in hysterics and Judy had to be passed a tissue to dab her eyes. Tom apologized for spoiling her make-up, while managing to look like he was clearly delighted to be ruining it, causing her to laugh even more.>>
Because Tom Baker was on yesterday and he was such a delight, I've never seen Richard and Judy laugh so much - they should have devoted the whole show to him. Plus it gave me a chance to link to Doctor Who and Doctor Who Assistants and Peas.

Thank you!
Are you a regular viewer of the show? Just wondering if you saw Tom Baker. He should have his own show!!

...erm, I think I've seen it once or twice.
But if I'd known about the Who-ness before now, I'd've certainly watched more.

I wish I could get home in time to see it
I caught Viggo Mortensen and Johnny Depp - both of them are awful flirts. (as are R & J)

Yes, it's good to have a drool thread alerter when certain subjects of the thread are appearing on R & J, eh Sho?

This isn't my sort of entry, Annie. I find it too long. But for the style of it, you've done it very well.
A few typos and comments:
Typos:
extra-ordinary --> extraordinary
and makes remarks which earns him a whack --> and makes remarks which earn him a whack
which was broadcast from Liverpool --> broadcasting from Liverpool
broadcasting for over a decade earlier --> broadcasting for over a decade
viagra trials --> Viagra trials
had a 'RSI box' --> had an 'RSI box'
Millenium Bug --> Millennium Bug
two of the memorable moments from This Morning They later -- add full stop after This Morning
The salt water incident is interesting, because the Wine expert was talking cobblers. Adding salt to the water can not reduce the temperature. Perhap Richard knew this. Or perhaps not.
£1000 --> £1,000
"On-screen Argument Example"
This doesn't sound good. Change it to "On-Screen Argument" and an introductory sentence such as "While Richard and Judy often needle each other on screen, this rarely escalates into a full-brown fight. One rare occasion was when ..."
shoplifting trial and aquittal --> shoplifting trial and acquittal

All done, plus I've removed the salt water remark. Wine expert? Where did they drag him in from then? Behind a bar?
Thanks Gnomon
