Does the capital letter indicate that the word Sat is a proper noun?
Is Earth sitting? Do you mean 'and Earth sat'?

That's the only capital letter you're confused about? It's meant to be chaotic in terms of capitalization, as in everything else.

This is strange and striking.
I particularly like 'time/is bitter/the Sun burns blue-black in hard Morning'.
I think people will come up with all sorts of meanings for the poem
but its very elusiveness is part of its stength.

Yes, I am confused about that capitalisation. It made the line meaningless to me - or rather, I thought it meant something entirely different.

Isn't that kind of the point. All the capitalizations are meaningless. It's a rather nihilistic poem all through. I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just not sure why that particular word threw you off, as opposed to all the others.
