Not Clever? Not mean't to be... sorry. Just is what it is.
Suggestions?

Incidently I was told this was the place for stuff that doesn't match the Peer Review guidelines. Are you telling me don't like it (I know at least a dozen people who thought it was funny - perhaps not to your refined taste, but still funny. I could argue that breaking wind is a normal bodily function which has humourous undertones, but I would prefer not to go there), or are you telling me I can't have it here. In which case, what the bloody hell can you do on h2g2?

A concise piece of writing.
Very concise - I can imagine a few hundred word of story summarised in that.
Why the capital F, by the way?
Suggestions? Chapter 2: The vet was regarding him with what he could only conclude was distaste. "...leftover curried beans, Mr Silk?"

You can put it where you like! (I say, politely).
I was merely giving you the benefit of my personal opinion.
I am as broad minded as anyone else; but I am personally not keen on crudity for crudities sake!

Missed your last post, Warkve the madness! How did I not see that?
This is the place for writing that doesn't fit the Edited Guide guidelines; so welcome to the AWW .
It's also a workshop, so people will come along and give their opinions, as Ronbloggs did. (waves to Ronbloggs)
What got my interest was the amount of story contained in those thirteen words, I didn't find it funny as such but humour's very personal. I can, for instance, watch about two minutes of Mr Bean and no more.

Yes LLLWaz, you are right; the line does contain the seeds of a possible story. That would legitimise his one-liner!
Perhaps I was a little too hard on our colleague!

OK. I confess. Had I reacted immediately upon reading "Short Story" my post would have been much like RonB's... a dismissal out of hand. But, oddly perhaps, the d**med thing started a strange story-telling linkage and I made up my own short story leading to that as its conclusion.
Now, I'm not saying that makes it literature. I'm not even saying it justifies its existence! But hey, I have no doubt at all it qualifies as "Alternative" in the best sense.
Cheers LLL, Ron, et al...
And welcome, Warkve, to this demented little universe.

Cheers Well... I'm relieved anyway
Besides I don't suppose any of you watched Doctor Who? Inadvertently this could be a Doctor Who story now
Some interesting ideas there anyway. I'll have to write a sequel - or you can all right sequels... or whatever. Anyway, all the best.
